Surya namaskara – to express gratitude to the life giving Sun. It is done at Sunrise on an empty stomach.
Surya namaskara helps relax the mind, improves mental focus, cures insomnia, improves flexibility, burns excess fat, improves blood circulation, functioning of internal organs, improves muscle strength, tones the body & strengthens the body.
Surya namaskara is done in sets. This will ensure that both sides of the body are equally used. you could start with two to four rounds and then gradually go up to as many as you can comfortably do. you can do at least 12 sets of Surya namaskaras everyday.
