Ayurveda Expo 2011 in July
Ayurveda Expo 2011, an international healthcare exhibition will be promoting Sri Lankan Ayurveda and native healthcare products in the markets at the BMICH from July 15th to 17th. The event is jointly organized by the Sri Lankan Export Development Board and the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka in association with the Indigenous Medicine Ministry, Economic Development Ministry, External Affairs Ministry, Industry and Commerce Ministry, Sri Lankan Airline and Sri Lanka Gem and Jewellery Authority.
The event is going to overlap with the Sri Lankan tourism promotion which is the primary event which has given priority to promote mental and physical wellness under the theme ‘Bliss’. The event includes 20 countries around the world and the exhibition will have four major themes namely- Yoga, Meditation, Food and Wellness. The products and services provided will include related sectors such as natural foods, homeopathy, acupuncture, beauty care among others.
The Expo will also include a symposium which will be addressed by renowned experts on Ayurveda. The programme is aimed at supporting the local and international markets to develop the local products along with attracting tourists to the country
